Payment Options

Fees are due at the end of each session. We accept credit card, cash, or e-transfer. Sorry, we do not accept debit transactions.

Missed or Late Appointments

Your appointment time has been reserved especially for you, which prevents others from accessing services. Therefore, 48 hours cancellation notice is required or a no-show fee equivalent to the full session fee will be charged (except in the case of an emergency, such as illness).

Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late will be considered to have missed their appointment and a no-show fee equivalent to the full session fee will be charged (except in the case of an emergency).

Extended Health Care Benefits Plans

Many extended health benefits plans (e.g., Blue Cross, Manulife) will reimburse you for the services of a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). All of our therapists are registered and/or certified. Check your plan's details to see if you are eligible. If your plan covers you for counselling or psychotherapy services, you will pay your therapist at Well Woman Counselling for the cost of your session and you can then submit your receipt to your extended heath care provider for reimbursement.

Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP)

If you have been a victim or witness of a crime in BC, you may be eligible to receive counselling sessions at no cost to you. Several therapists at Well Woman Counselling (Alexandra Stewart and Mima Preston) are approved providers of counselling services for the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP). An official Claim Number and a statement that indicates the number of approved sessions must be approved before any counselling sessions will be booked.
