Holly Yager, Registered Clinical Counsellor

Holly Yager is a reproductive health & fertility counsellor in Vancouver with 15+ years of experience. Holly's primary focus is to support individuals and couples who are trying to conceive, either naturally or with the help of a fertility clinic. She provides emotional support while pursuing IUI, IVF, and pregnancy. She also provides third-party reproduction counselling sessions(donation, surrogacy) for infertility, single parenting, or LGBTQ+ family-building. Holly also has a specialized focus on helping clients who are experiencing female pelvic pain (e.g., PVD, endometriosis).

In addition to private practice, Holly has over 15 years experience as a clinical counsellor at BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre working in the areas of reproductive endocrinology & infertility (REI/IVF); chronic pelvic pain & endometriosis (CPP); recurrent pregnancy loss & early pregnancy loss (RPL/EPAC); and specialized women's health. In the past, Holly was the in-house counsellor at the BC Women's Centre for Reproductive Health / UBC IVF, was a reproductive & sexual health counsellor at several local women's clinics, and completed a counselling internship at the BC Reproductive Mental Health program.

Holly is both a BC Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC and a Canadian Certified Counsellorwith CCPA. In addition to providing therapy and support, Holly facilitates group workshops, presents lectures and workshops, provides clinical supervision and consultation to mental health professionals, and has co-authored journal articles and publications on both fertility and female chronic pelvic pain.

Holly is known for her professional, yet relaxed approach, allowing clients to feel at ease. Holly has training and experience in a variety of evidence-based psychotherapies and techniques, some of which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-integrated cognitive therapy approaches (MiCBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
